    Cav! @Fudsey Plange explained it very well. I don't have much experience apart from word of mouth about J37 but I can say that Kramer goes well on any genre as far as I know.

    what's the verdict between the Kramer vs UAD Studer and/or Ampex?

    I wonder how you guys use Kramer Tape and Satin. As subtle saturation? degradation? delay? adding depth to a mix? what exactly do you like about em?

    I like the sound of Satin way more than Kramer Master Tape -- I've used the both in my mastering chain and Kramer Master Tape adds a lot of unwanted low-end mud to your mix, definitely more than an actual Ampex would do. Satin has a lot more functionality that Waves left out of their plug, plus the ability to choose different tap stocks. If I had the luxury of choice, though, I'd get the Slate VTM plug or possibly even the Ampex plug from UAD.

    Currently demoing the waves abbey road reverb plates.This plugin has a soul that so many reverb units lack.Just wow.
