Created with leading electronic music duo Infected Mushroom, Pusher is an innovative multiband sonic enhancer and limiter/clipper that delivers Infected Mushroom’s “secret mixing sauce.”

Pusher brings together high-end processing and Infected Mushroom’s decades of mixing experience to give you enormous possibilities for boosting frequencies, enhancing sounds, and mastering full tracks for any genre or style. Whether you’re preparing your music for a release or to play out in clubs, you can use Pusher to add grit to your drums, add brightness to your instruments or push your whole mix to the max – all in a matter of seconds. Pusher is also low-latency, so you can freely use it in the studio or live on stage.

Pusher can be used on individual sounds, on busses/groups, or for mastering:

    • Low – Enhance low frequencies and choose where the processing begins based on note or frequency. Perfect for getting kicks and bass instruments to drive through the mix.
    • Body, High – Enhance the mid and high frequencies
    • Magic – Excite and boost the dynamics of all frequencies at once. Good to use on drum groups or full mixes
    • Stereo Image – Widen the stereo image of higher frequencies
    • Push – Push your mix to the max by clipping or limiting. Perfect when mastering.
    A Word from Infected Mushroom:
“We wanted to combine our mixing and mastering tricks that we’ve been working on for 20 years into one plugin. Pusher will make almost anything sound better in a matter of seconds”.

Yeah, I bought it because, what the hell... it's $30

Also picked up H-Delay and MV2 today because they were on sale.

You can also save an additional 10% (though I only got 5% it seems) with code CK901

If you're feeling generous you can use this link and it'll credit me with what you saved from the discount code

Yeah their website is kind of a bitch to navigate. Took me a while to figure out to download my plugs the first time.
I think you can get your stuff from http://www.waves.com/downloads

Would have bought this if it wasn't a WAVES plugin.

:dunno: what's the big deal? Genuine curiosity.

Personally I refuse to buy dongle-only ilok products, though those are becoming fewer and farther between since the emergence of AudioUtopia. The update plan is obnoxious but when you consider they're updating hundreds of plugins every year it kind of makes sense.

My only gripe with Waves is that I think they're overrated. They make some really good plugs. And they also make some really shitty/outdated ones that they still charge "good plugin" money for.

    Okay...
After finally getting home to play with this thing for a few minutes (just threw it on a master bus and turned some knobs) I'm actually pretty impressed by it. It definitely sounds good, and more importantly, you'd have to really be trying to make it sound bad. I mean isn't that the whole point of using these "someone else's presets" plugins? Do whatever you want to do quickly and without having to put too much thought into it because it's designed so you pretty much can't ruin the sound too bad.

Of course the drawback to that sort of a philosophy is that you can't really push the settings to extremes since these types of plugins are basically noob bait and therefore have to be somewhat noob-proof

They only have one vst effect plugin.
And within it their other effects can be accessed.

So (- infected mushroom - pusher) will only be visible inside the WAVES.dll vst effect plugin as a entry like a preset for example.

If you buy more effects from WAVES.
They will only be accessible within the waves.dll vst plugin.

Your VST effect list in the DAW will not grow.

I agree the waveshell is stupid. But if it bothers you that much you could always just use shell2vst. I used it for a couple years without issue.

With the old waves plugins. DX plugins was installed that could not be removed with their included uninstaller. The DX plugins had to be removed manually by using regedit the (Registry Editor) in windows xp.

I really like the dynamics enhancing on this thing. If I were gonna make something to behave like it, I'd probably guess gain boost + multiband downwards expansion followed by transient shaper. Definitely it'd take a little time and effort to make a dynamics chain that sounds as good as this one.
