    In our Studio we are using the dbx 160SL (Blues Series).

    Its one of the best I ever used.

    How do you get just this one plug to demo. I only see the entire suite or the Download and install Waves License Center links on their site when I log in. Do I just get ver 25 full and re-run the thingy?

    this is what I did

    full 24 uninstall
    delete waves folder
    delete waves in registry
    this is all in magic R2R txt

    follow R2R install directions using 25
    apply magic and away it went

    tried to just install demo,,, did not work
    had to blow it all away start from scratch

    that must be why it didnt work for me... Though im on mac, i dl'd the "demo"... but when i ran it, nothing happened except for this waves prompt window that popped-up... it was all white, and had nothing on it except for a waves logo and a button that said "ok". I clicked "ok" and of course nothing happened... Guess i have to dl the whole waves installer :dunno:

    Waves V9r25 installers - February 16th, 2015

    The new dbx® 160 Compressor / Limiter available separately as well as in Mercury, Pro Show and SD7 Pro Show.
    SSL G-Master Buss Compressor: fixed auto fade time in 96 kHz


    I've just downloaded V9r25 offline installer from waves website and only installed the 2 updates, applied the patch / etc (from V9r24 R2R) and its working with windows7 64bit :wink:

    WTF is with this last few Waves plugins ? Both Chandler Channel Strip and DBX 160 are such hogs in Cubase 5 AIR, so power hungry. I can run only 7-8 of them on my i5 2500k. But for example I can run around 50 Decapitator instances, which is also a hog.

    logic pro 9 handles this plugin with no problem i love dbx160 on snares its so snappy
