Hey guys! I've been reading pretty much every topic on this but i cant seem to find how to solve the issue with the plugins still being in demo.

I got everything right, the right patch with keygen that i open with crossover for mac. The AU REG scans every plugin, but it still says demo version. I've also replaced the engine-file in the waves/modules. Basically followed instructions.

any solutions?

You should include which release you are trying to install. There are different sets of instructions, and other details for many of the releases.

There are many different comments about that release. It is working/valid, but for whatever reason Waves installation instructions are always kind of hit or miss. Some people suggest uninstalling Soundgrid from Waves Central, etc.

I would try to Codesign the engine bundle first, in terminal run this command: sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle/Contents/MacOS/WavesLicenseEngine

You may need to do some other things, but this will definitely not break anything. Check your PM's for more detail. If you screw up a Waves install, it is often better option to run the cleanup tool in WC and start over. You can end up chasing your tail.

Try downloading a version of Waves that has the old patch .pkg in it. Try running the "patch" file on your current waves RET install. That worked for me.

 

Some people have done the same thing with the AU Reg tool and had that "work" also. Most of the time, the instructions (or user not following them exactly) is the actual problem. Updating versions without removing the old files first is another common mistake. Mixing and Matching different teams work can often do the trick, too; but the result is not being able to unravel a problem later.

 

Ill try it out and come back for results!

MacBook Pro catalina 10.15.7/logic
Did you managed to figure it out somehow,can’t seem to find any info beside here .
