I would take the careful route over the seemingly convenient one. I have not installed Melodyne 4 because of a similar
issue. It is pre-cracked but, the crack is hard coded the exe and dll files which the anti-virus program does not like.
This means that every time it is run, the potential threat is activated. Not willing to gamble infecting entire system.

(The R2R Melodyne release fixes ths issue)

Hello Guys, same thing for me concerning abbey road plates,
It always says "missing plate positions in folder waves/data/platepositions"

Any ideas ?

 

Nothing really works here. I would appreciate an official R2R-version. Please, R2R, help us.

 

Please, anyone has a solution for abbeyroad plates, it doesn't work at home ?

 

Abbey Road Plates working perfectly on Windows 7 64 bit.

If you are having problems, mention what OS and DAW you are using to help others help you.

Thanks quadcore, yes i'm sorry, i am on windows 8.1 and ableton live 9, each time i want to start abbey Road Plates, an alert message appears: PlatePositions folder and/or files were not found in C:\Program Files(x86)\Waves\Data ... Please Install The plugin. I assure you that this folder is at his place. Don't understand.

 

As I know it, you should remove the old shells if they were left behind after installing the new ones.
The latest realease uses one shell and also updates some of the older plugins. There could also be a
compatibilty issue with the new plugins such as Abbey Roads plates and so on...

 

When you did a clean install and cleaned the registry, did you do a registry search with the option
"Match whole string only" unchecked? There are some hidden entries related to the DirectX system
that need to be deleted.

A full system restart is needed after cleaning up. Also remember to Restart the system after installing Waves and before patching.

You should also be running Windows 8 Pro VI Update 3 with all core system updates. I have not installed Windows 8 yet
so hopefully someone with that system will step in and offer some tips.

So if i follow you i have to erase all old waves entries from my registry ? That's it ?

Other question, waves plugins which are installed by default in c:\, makes a lack of free space in my computer, is it possible to move all waves folders to my default vstplugins folder which in on d:\vstplugins in my computer ?

When you open the Windows registry editor 'regedit' and press F3 or Crtl+F, you get the search box with option that
can be unchecked/checked.

 

Use a registry cleaner to help. CCleaner is a good one and is free to download. After cleaning the registry this way, you
will have to in and hunt for left overs to be deleted using the search tool inside regedit.

 

Thanks quadcore but i m sorry i dont understand very well. I have installed the waves complete 9.6.44 from audioz and all works very well, abbey road plates apart. Before installing the new version of waves, i cleaned my computer for other vesions of waves and with ccleaner and i don t understand why all plugins worked while abbey road plates is the only one that doesn't work. At this moment, ccleaner doesn't find bad registry entries of waves. And i can't erase all registry entries of the new waves plugins, if i do that, plugins will not work at all.

 

You may be doing things out-of-order...

First you uninstall Waves, second you delete any leftover traces the uninstaller missed on the hard drive
and third, a registry cleanup.

If all the steps are done correctly, you will have a complete and working Waves structure.

Online downloading did not work here!
I found a MAC package provided by some gentle person.
All Waves Plug-Ins installed and working 100%.
Waves stuff is fine.
