It seems Waves is producing all-in-one only.

 

i Can't Download the Demo Because now Waves Central Dose not Work with Mac 10.6.8 Fuck Man and they say there is a Work Around But they wont say what it is what the Hell

 

I'm all for mo.. and bettah and simpler paths to a better vocal.

Can't hurt to give it a spin around the block and kick the tires.. fo.. sho.

that SAID... the thickness of that volume indicator is.. .. well subtlety doesn't come to mind.

 

I remember when Waves was the best out there... Those days are faaaaaar gone.

Agree. It seems useful on dry vocals only (EQ > DeEsser > COMP1[Fast] > COMP2[Slow] > FXs)

 

Not bad, but not that good either.

 

Sounds good but nothing really characteristic or impressive. It seems to be tailored to Singer Songwriter Stuff or Pop. For people who want that sort of simplicity it's probably fine. The problem with these sort of plugins is that you actually don't learn HOW to create that sort of sound on your own.

As far as the actual concept and signal flow is concerned, it's pretty standard… Everybody who knows a bit about Mixing Vocals can build a better sounding Vocal chain in like 5 Minutes. What I don't like is that they didn't incude a simple time division knob for the Delay with a few options.

From what Wells said in the presentation, there are multiple Parameters and Processes affected by the Intensity level. I don't mine that but they could have had an "Advanced" menu which gives you access to all other paramters.

As far as extreme is concerned, this plugin was not designed for extreme – it's for good sounding, shiny vocals for people who are just not into engineering… but I would much rather spend these 99 $ on something else (besides the fact that I will never ever ever ever buy anything from waves again) ;)
