Well, there must be something wrong with the gui on my version. I've looked all over the place but I can't find the handy-dandy virtual vinyl brush anywhere.

Should I demand a refund?

Exactly. And this plugin is widely resourceful because you can dial in each factor you want to implement to any degree you want. It's negligible distortion that makes music sound more eventful and real. It's that small dose of nothing that becomes everything.

  3. YES! We pretended we were Odd Job from the Bond Film Goldfinger. We would scream some fake Japanese war cry and let them rip...until one went through our neighbor's window. The sweet hearted Dr. Lapakis took it all in stride and didn't freak out on us, she was very nice lady. We also used to put them in the oven until they became soft and pliable, bent up the edges and then filled them with sand (covering up the spindle hole with Bazooka bubblegum) to make cool ashtrays.

And then some people have the nerve to say Connery wasnt the best Bond.

I don't think it's supposed to be emulating a record player/converting your recording to a "vinyl sound" so much as it's meant to emulate an acetate recording made at Abbey Road on their cutters. Back in the Sixties, before cassettes were a thing, Abbey Road and other big studios would have to cut mixes directly to acetate on their in-house record lathes to send music to record label execs for approval, or to give band members something to listen to for notes, etc. I'm sure Waves expanded on that idea to make it more useful to producers and engineers (as they did with their Abbey Road four-track recorder emulation), but it's probably meant to emulate specific vintage gear, which is why it won't necessarily sound like something you'd listen to off of a modern turntable.

I too remember discovering that vinyl records made incredible and very dangerous frisbees.

As kids we trashed a pile of my parents original 60s records without realising we were not only causing a danger to the public but we were destroying history. Ah, sweet innocence.

    Man, do they fly!
