I noticed that in the text file R2R make no mention of selecting the REDD console plugin part of the Abbey Road collection while all the rest of them are mentioned. I believe I installed it on an earlier released and it wasn't working. Anyone know the story if this can be selected or not? Also just out of curiosity does MultiRack/SoundGrid have to be installed separately or does it come in this release (referring to the host not plugins)? I know they had another release of it that was separate from earlier this year.

 

Hey Cat, I'm no pro at installing these things, but it didn't work for me on Windows 7 32 bit, and I frankly didn't know why but was really hoping that it would. However, when I got my new and improved machine and installed it on Windows 8 64 bit it worked like a charm. It is a nice sounding saturation thing, but I find I do not use it anymore since I have been fortunate enough to be able to use a Warm Audio Tonebeast which just is just the "cat's meow" in my opinion. I hope that it works out for you and that you find a workaround.

REDD should work just fine.

dont bother with soundgrid unless your going to use it!

 

Just wanted to report back that there was no crack option for REDD so I assume that it isn't cracked. It's not a big deal, I have more than enough plugins. I was just curious and I imagined other people have asked themselves the same thing. Thanks to R2R for the bundle.

 

Got me wondering now as I only installed what's on the list and its fine on both x86 & x64 systems, Possibility that my Redds are from previous release as I don't uninstall just overinstall, and the program files are overwritten thrice as I use the same waves directory with 3 O/S's all referencing it , not that this helps you, but it's not part of mercury as you say,and its only part of AbbeyRoad bundle, I thought it may have been part of RS56 but not sure about that now you mentioned your problem.

I know they work like a champ on that Macbook I just did,and checking my Windows setup,Redd 37-51 and Redd 17 show up and work just fine as well.I didn't do anything special just followed the same instructions you listed I believe.

I'm on Win 7 Pro 64Bit. I've had previous Waves versions installed but I uninstall every time before I install a new version.
Tested with WaveShell-VST 9.2 32&64 on FL10,11.0.4(64Bit)and 11.1.Also on Cubase Elements 7 (Comes up in categories)

Can test on others if you need? (Bitwig,Live,Studio One,Reaper,Pro Tools 10)

 

Yes redd is working ok for me both 64 and 32 bit on win7 pro 64 bit
catalyst dont you crack the whole bundle when you point the patch to the the shellfiles?

Yeah i also do what you do but then i always use the Vstwrapperbuilder so i can put in new Vst2 plugins in the "right" vst folders and as it creates all plugins i always replace the old ones a bit of work it takes like 20 min so i guess i always up to date

It's very interesting that you write this 'cause I'd wondered the same. As you've stated, REDD plugs aren't listed in the krak info. I installed the REDD plugs regardless and they are working fine. W8.1, here!

 

Since r14 REDD is part of all R2R releases.from r14-r15 there was only a seperate checkbox for the installation (single plug-ins). from then on it was/is also integrated in the mercury bundle. If you only check the "abbeyroad pack" REDD will not be installed.
I think it´s only caused by the later integration to the main installer...
