Waves 12 complete macOS boot issue

    Hi,
    Long time lurker, first time poster.
    I was trying to install Waves complete 12 (30.11.20). The installation happens without any issues but when I rebooted my system, it got stuck on the apple logo. The progress bar gets stuck on 100% and the system stays that way.
    I tried repairing the disk through recovery mode and even tried booting into safe mode. Nothing worked. I had to restore from my time machine backup.

    I havent found any information on this online, so I thought I'd ask here. Has anyone else faced this issue and solved it?

    My system: 2018 MBP 13" (16gb) running Catalina 10.15.7
