I also don't think watermarking is used for anything but 'product of company X', but that's not to say that there's no watermarking at all.

Universal has been getting called out for bad quality watermarking since ~2008.

Created using IL Harmor and it's image to sound feature. Then exported and loaded into Wavelab.
The top line is almost inaudible but you can hear the remaining lines.


The track from Aphex Twin was called "Formula" (not Windowlicker) but from the Windowlicker EP.
Just loaded it into Wavelab, here's the result:


Next time don't be so ignorant and try to acquire some proper knowledge before you start writing.

 

I see you have an enthusiasm and desire to learn this topic. Ok, I would make it myself, but am busy at the moment...
what I mean is: to go to
https://audiowatermarking.com/awt1#evaluate
and send them request for demo/trial version of that product...
then record couple of chords, render it to WAV (only WAV), then
1 a) put the watermark (wm) with that program;
b) find the wm you put with that program
2. a) Make 2 equal WAVs: 1 with wm, and another without wm
b) Open both WAVs with HEXeditor and the HEX should find where the "treasure" (wm) is hidden. Done.
Supposition: as they said, HEX finds everything and everywhere in the digital files,
and CAN edit/remove those "finds"

 

I'm not that interested. Just wanted to prove my previous statement as I did that already years ago to create crazy sounds.
There was a little tool available to convert jpeg's into wav files but I can't remember its name so I did it with Harmor.

If you want to compare files, you could use HxD. Load both files in it and then hit ctrl + k and then Enter on the keyboard.
