Compressor Kung Fu | Jake Perrine


A compressor is a deceptively simple and often misunderstood device that can be used in so many different ways: as a “thickener”, a “tamer”, a “distancer”, a “rounder”, a “plucker”,.. set correctly, it even will do your laundry and pay your bills. Getting your head around all the parameters of this device will allow you to take your sounds from what you are hearing to what you want to be hearing.

Beyond Drums with Drum Racks | Ian Gallagher


We all know that Drum Racks are only for programming percussion….WRONG! Actually, using Drum Racks for bass lines, leads, vocals, etc., opens up a new realm of programming options. In this presentation, Ian will show how to quickly create a killer bass sound in Operator, transfer it to a Drum Rack, and finally create an out-of-this-world bass line that’s guaranteed to shred the dance floor.

Maximizing Operator | Myagi


Tag along with our synthesis ninja, Myagi, as he unleashes the beast! Operator is a giant instrument, capable of anything from normal synth sounds to bizarre noises, plucky realistic leads and catastrophically big FM growl tones. This is just the tip of the iceberg though. In this session, Myagi will show off some of the features that really open it up for mind-bendingly creative use, allowing you to get the most out of one of the most commonly overlooked Live instruments.
