Win7 and Win8.x users must turn off WU ASAP

It seems Microsoft is acting worst than ever. Yesterday I uninstall patch KB3035583 (the one that cause the Win10 nag-screen). You believe or not... it has been installed again without my permission (WU update set on notify only!!!)...

    :wtf:

I'm not the only one in this weird situation.

My 'personal solution' when dealing with Microsoft's "Automatic Updates" is to first turn it off, and then run a Google search to determine what in the hell you're "updating". Microsoft's "universal" updates NEVER take into consideration that what may be a "fix" for 'John' may "break" 'Mary's perfectly running system. As a very long-time user of Windows (all and any version) I speak from experience.

This says vista in the url but it works in all windows.

Download the reg located in the zip file. This makes the Taking Ownership very easy and adds it to your right click of any file.

I never updated Windows 7 or 8.1 and it always were running as it should. When I install the OS,
I firstly turn off updates via services.msc because every update I installed in previous Windows installations
brought me more bugs than helping my OS.

    BTW:
If you need a tool to remove all crapware updates and the enforcement to install them silently
because MS wants your data, here is a little tool that turns it off.

    DWS Lite

It is mainly for Windows 10 but also has its own options for windows 7, 8 and 8.1 to remove
unwanted updates where you don't know what they are exactly for. After removing it forces Windows
    to not reinstall them.

    Greetings, r4e
