FIXED: Win10 Update was NOT the issue. Newest Version of KONTAKT (the R2R release) wiped out my Cakewalk Platinum Sonar Registry settings - ALL of them!! Don't know why - don't care. Not worth the damage it caused. If anyone can point me to a safe - NON INSTALL - version of the latest KONTAKT I will give it a shot. SONAR PLAT. USERS: DO NOT INSTALL NEWEST R2R Version of KONTAKT. ALL YOUR PLUGS will be forced into full RESCAN mode and anything that is hokey to the latest version (last version!) of Sonar will be screwed up bit-time!!

PS: Waves Release (end of Nov. version - recent - R2R) VST3's will not load right in SONAR PLAT. Either. If your projects have been using them, they will not work (or default to a VST2 version of the same).

The update blitz'd my Sonar Platinum Plugins Registry. Booted up Sonar to register a plugin, it decides to re-register EVERYTHING from all-time (re-scan all plugs) and then all the outmoded/outdated ones cause a complete fail for registering a huge amount of the remaining plugins.

TLDR: don't update to Windows 10's KB4058702 if you can help it and if you're a Sonar Platinum user.

Good news is just the night before, I backed up my C-drive!! Yay!

I'd say: Never update windows if it works. Don't fix it if it ain't broken .

No problems here, as usual. What are you doing with your setups is the biggest mystery for me. Live, SO3, even reaper. Win 10 latest update. Works perfect.

No probs here too. That doesn't mean everybody will have no probs. One minor advantagw you get with Win 10 is that you can reverse install an update from either the update history or the unistall programs dialog in control panel.

I don't see how this update could damage Sonar. Perhaps you should be looking for a secondary cause.

Either way: backup often and always before an install session.

i am always stack them, wif win7 (a custom one) there is no performance issue, and also vst from 2004 work still fine

fe: you can connect 2 or more mainboards like these together. win7 actually snores like a little cat with hardware like these... actually missing the m2 on this board m2 is the fastest way to connect SSD to system. its faster than SAS systems now...
