If you are working with surround files, be aware, that when decoding AC3/EAC3 files the files get totally whacked.
Maybe also other programs share the same error.

    Movie 'Bob Marley One Love'
    Source:
    EAC3 (DD+) 5.1
    640 kB/s
    Dialnorm -31 dB

    Center channel
    Decoded by Adobe Audition:
    Bob Marley C EAC3 Audition.png

    Decoded by Xrecode3:
    Bob Marley C EAC3 Xrecode3.png

As can be seen, decoding process directly in Audition applies the heavy DRC-mode. I have found no option, to switch it off.
Maybe this happens, because Audition uses ffmpeg with standard parameters.

ffmpeg seems to apply heavy DRC as standard parameter, too.
DRC needs to be switched off explicitly when decoding.

    Here is explained how:

Erroneous volume level shifts using ffmpeg to convert AC3 in M2TS to WAV

    Btw, Xrecode3 decodes (E)AC3 correctly.
