Piracy is so dumb, the only reason I do it is cuz I am poor. If I had money to buy a $6,000 Waves Plugin, I would.
How else would poor people be able to enjoy anything?
I don't like pirating, just have to, cuz shit is so expensive and I would never be able to try it out and learn otherwise.
I wouldn't know half the things I know if it wasn't for piracy!

Are we living on the same planet? Do you really not see the influence of the American political agenda on the rest of the world? In fact most of the opposition against piracy has come directly from the United States through threat of sanctions and other means of bullying. They've been pushing China, Italy, New Zealand, Russia, Spain, Sweden and many more to make sweeping reforms which have mostly been successful. Not to mention the PRISM program that the United States and United Kingdom governments have been involved in. Some members actually began an interesting discussion about this on another thread (I believe it was in the US/UK Data Mining article as well as the MPAA Court Action article). Some of the conversation deals with the battle between wanting to make a positive change in the world and wanting to just be happy. My friend all I can say is that this all is a lot bigger than file sharing and that's what people fail to understand. It's about governmental intrusion in our daily lives and that is something I cannot turn a blind eye to because it is now completely out of control. One way or another the sanctuaries that we build will be shattered and how will we feel then knowing that we did nothing? It's just a matter of time until it touches something so important to you that you will understand that you cannot ignore things any longer.
