    Hey guys,

Any ideas on how I could go about designing a warm pad sound like this??

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkgCRFhOoSo&feature=related

(Pad starts at the beginning and runs through out the length of the track)

    Thanks!!

Put your ass close to the mic, press record and fart a constant 4-5 seconds-fart.
Import it to a sampler like the exs24 or kontakt, tune and loop the fart sound until you get it right for all the notes. Set a long attack and release and you should have the sound you are looking for.
    Good Luck

    anton is just kiddin...

a few shorter farts will also do this job and you can chose the best

but make sure to judge the sound, not the smell

A 4-5 second fart, might well turn out to be a wet fart - BE AWARE! Do NOT follow thru....it will certainly not be a warm sound, a warm feeling maybe? :snuffy:

It surprises me that someone (who makes music) needs ideas on how to create a sound.....
That PAD sound is not complex at all, should be pretty easy to re-create on a good synth.
You could try it with Rob Papen BLUE or LinPlug ALBINO.

Just trying to understand and learn techniques, I thought thats what this section was for.... I understand its fairly simple, just wondered if there was any special advice such as processing that would help achieve that level of depth and character

for anyone else who was interested I found a helpful video, really good advice about slowing down samples:

Unfortunately there aren't enough burritos in the world that will help me fart with enough sustain :dunno:

FM8 or Massive + Guitar Rig can do a lot of nice pad sounds like that.

Take any old boring pad sound, throw ValhallaÜberMod on it, select the LongAmbientHall preset, and turn the diffused delays on. Instant awesome pad sound!
