On offer this week is the Old Tape Piano and W-Honky by Wavesfactory.

Old Tape Piano is a grand piano that has been sampled in mono using a low quality cassette recorder. It has a lofi vibe to it, without sacrificing dynamics and 8 velocity layers.

W-Honky is a vintage keys library that is similar to the "Mrs Mills" piano sound from Abbey Road Studios used by the Beatles, Elliot Smith etc. The sound was acheived by combining a vertical piano (Kawai from 1984) with a digitally processed metal sound for the attack. The signal is slightly detuned to achieve the honky tonk sound.

Both libraries require the full version of Kontakt 3.5 or higher (Old Tape piano is available in EX24 format also).
