I am just curious if there is any way to use VST3 (or RTAS) plugins in Ableton?
Is there any converter or maybe a VST2 plugin that I can use, that can open VST3 or RTAS?

Almost every plugin is in basic vst2 format and there is a variation of RTAS or VST3...
Many plugins just not have RTAS or VST3 variant. For PT and RTAS there is a tool for converting FxPanstion VST to RTAS.
There is a couple of plugins dedicated exactly as RTAS for protools, and it's per example McDSP etc...
But, generaly, there is no need for converting backwards, just for the reason I describe.

 

Ableton doesn't support vst3 and rtas. Rtas only work on pro tools for the most part.


Fxpansion only allows vst -> rtas. Not the way around.


What pluging are you trying to convert anyways. I'm sure there's a vst2 version o.o

I am really want VocAlign to work, but there is only the VST3. I would really want to use this plugin in Ableton but haven`t found a way

 

If you are on Mac you can use AU, that is known to work in Live

On windows seems impossible to use it on live.
RTAS is a proprietary format by Digidesgin/Avid and is platform specific for ProTools.
Nobody has rights to implement compatibility for RTAS in any daw
or to make an adapter for RTAS to VST/AU/whatever.
Only a couple of devs are granted the rights from Digi/Avid to make VST to RTAS/AAX converters
(FXPansion for sure & SugarBytes too if I remember well, long time no use ProTools)
