I really love the sound of that oscillator, but I don't want to get any hardware, lol. I hate the upkeep, the cables etc.

As far as I know the Behringer Pro 1 has it (so did the synth that the Behringer is copying, the Sequential Circuts Pro One it sounds amazing), the original SH 101 had it, a couple of other synths too, but is there any VST synth that specifically boasts a highl precise emulation of the 3340?

I know the U-he Repro 1 is a VST recreation of the Sequential Pro One, so that would technically aim to emulate the 3340 I suppose, so does the Softube Model 82, but are they specifically recreating said oscillator?

Maybe there are somehow virtual synths geared at closer "perfect" emulation of one oscillator type, but their Cloud version of the SH-101 does sound really nice. You can often get better search results on things like this using the original Part Numbers. CEM 3340, or Curtis CEM3340 VCO IC but many of them are modular/eurorack units.

Usually if I am making a track and start out with the SH, I end up switching the synth to the Korg MS-20. I think it may have the same 3340 too. maybe not.

From Google, " Sequential Prophet 5 and T8, the Oberheim OB-Xa and OB-8, the Roland Jupiter 6 and MKS-80, and even the MemoryMoog. It also turns up in rarer synths like the Crumar Spirit and the Synton Syrinx."

This would lead to some OB-XA emulations too.
