Lol at people saying Logic is the best but then say they produce on Ableton, sample using Maschine and mix on Harrison.

I use Reason 8 as my primary production method because I have been using it since reason 2 and love the workflow, but I reroute ableton into reason to be able to use any of my vst or au within reason and then use pro tools 11 for any recording/mixing/mastering

My favorite DAW is still Logic 9, but voted for Reaper because that's what I'm using now back on Windows, it's great DAW, reminds me on Cubase which I were using before Logic and sincerely quite missed some things from that workflow (mainly on editing side).

They both are great, they both aren't perfect and lack some things, but overall, if I needed to pick one, yeah, Logic for sure, could work in that DAW even in my sleep, kinda my second nature is wrapped around his workflow, as many of Logic guys know, zooming mouse tool shortcut with dragging/area selection is pretty essential thing and I'm guilty for even moving around in arrangement window with it, so in a hurry now I always do it and yeah, saw I just made time selection in Reaper and get frustrated&nostalgic a bit, there is a way to do it in Reaper too, but not with same keys and one can't zoom out in same manner, but assign other shortcut, not the same and in moment, not it :dunno:

More than 30 years of Logic.
I desagree with many reviews in magazines, but Logic is a winner in almost all.
What it offers and the price is unbeatable...
But every brain must work with something familiar and probably is rare someone that tested all of them all the time...
For example, I ama keyboad player mainly, só midi is important and even cubase is poor in that area.
More than 30 years ago Voyetra had a great midi daw, its a shame...time changes so must the mind...

REAPER all the way (for me).
It's perfectly hardware optimized, and geek-friendly. Almost anything is possible there.

Ableton Live, iswhat I have used the most, and I feel competent and comfortable in its environs.
Lately i have been using Maschine a lot, as standalone, and then if I feel like it, send it into Live for further mixing. Often I send stuff from Live to Maschine also.
I have been thinking of adding presonus 3 into my workflow. A few years ago I was using it in conjunction with live, but then stopped, however, I like the latest version.
Reason is the other one I have used a lot over the years.

created a topic about Studio One vs basic modulations in> Studio One 3 modulation possibilities, http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=446136

with happy end, it's very nice with MUX and fake Control Surfaces

LFOs, note triggered envelopes of MUX etc. can be linked to the macro controls of S1 using control surfaces quite easily

Although the interface is not the prettiest but it is certainly the most effective DAW

    Currently, I use REAPER x64 about 50%. Samplitude Pro x2 25%. FL Studio 12 x64 25%.

Been using FL Studio for 9 years. Love the simplicity and the abilty to grow. I would lov to learn oher DAW's though. Being forced t learn Pro Tools for my fellow artists. Also interested in collaborations.

Been using FL Studio since version 3 so I'm really a long time user. More recently I've been rewiring Maschine into it and that works quite effectively. There are good with everything though I especially like how intuitive Reason is with it's patches and once in a blue moon I'll rewire that into FL. Also I really enjoy how customizeable Ableton is with midi stuff and macros and such...would like to give it more of a chance but I love the FL Piano Roll way too much to ever give up on it completely. I really wish I could pick and choose sometimes what I like best about each DAW and have them work flawlessly together. Definitely will check out Studio One and Harrison Mixbus here soon =)

I was an FL Studio user who was intimidated by other DAWs and how they are completely different. I never gave them a chance until Studio One 3 was released. It only took me a few hours to read through the manual while playing around with it to know almost everything I need to know. I guarantee it's a lot easier than it looks to get started and I've never gone back to FL since

So don't be intimidated, like Mr Amine said you're plenty smart enough to handle it. If you have any questions about switching to Studio One feel free to ask in PM or another thread.
