    Hi!

I had a cracked VolumeShaper 4.1.x R2R installed on my PC.
Then I uninstalled it (I didn't remove anything from registry), and I installed my legal VolumeShaper 4.2.x.
After that, I opened FL Studio 10 and opened VolumeShaper4.
When I selected my legal license file (in the VolumeShaper's unlock box) I got an info that the plugin has been unlocked properly, BUT the the info said:
    "registered to: reverse@revolutionize"

After I restarted my PC and opened VolumeShaper4 in FL studio, the 'about' screen in the plugin says that it's registered to my own email.
Everything works fine, but the question:
How come, after registering my original installer and license file (downloaded from cableguys.com) I got that screen that its registered to R2R email ??

    cheers:)

Will possibly be a reg file inserted by Keygen or license key being present still etc
First check licence locations for license files ie C:/ProgramData I'd not the the all folders at User/AppData where roaming folders are. Can't recall exact location at moment as not on PC.
Remove any generated license files. Outside that check all reg file locations and manually delete.
Saving that check.dll not present and being read and it's patched etc Lol Good luck :):mates::bow:

What words should I search my PC for?
    "regfile" ?
    "R2R licence key" ?

Then, if I find them, I simply delete them and that's all, right?
(no need to do anything in windows registry)

That keygen release generates a license file. Subsequently when application reads generated license file it inserts reg entry which application reads.
Once read most likely creates a presets folder in Roaming folder or ProgramData folder
Destination you need to navigate to is -

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Cableguys\VolumeShaper4

Keep in mind that reg keys etc can vary according to user name etc.
Here is all the reg info etc, so open reg edit, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Cableguys\VolumeShaper4, and right click & delete the key
Keep in mind if it auth to what u state then after you delete the reg key, application won't be authorized any longer.
Open application in your DAW and re-authorize, app with your genuine license file.
    Job should be done :)
There may be a few remnants floating about but that should do the job.
    Best of Luck :yes::bow::bow:

In most cases the authorization keys/serNum is hidden somewhere in the registry. Once you registered, the software won't ask for authorization until the next major release. It won't be unregistered with deinstallation in most cases.

So, if Kloud's hint won't help it would be quite tricky to find the Reg key (or reg keys) that holds the authorization. You can search the registry with the F3 key for "VolumeShaper4" for more than one entry.
But if the software vendor really hides the auth information, I would recommend not to touch it, because if you find and delete one or two appearences the autorization may be damaged, and tehe is no guarantee, that you can reauthorize it, even with your legit serial #

Yeah agree with that Don't think this one hidden but there for sure could be some remnants floating about that you can search for with jeys as described by twoheart.
Only mess with the registry if your pretty confident & happy as you can mess stuff up bigtime lol but is where this regkey should be :)

You could always try a registry cleaner if u not cofident like REVO etc but it quite possible that it won't work as it hasn't been installed to monitor installation. Always use something like REVO etc to monitor installations if purely just for that info as it real useful to have. Anyway just check that first reg key & delete if u happy & should sort it. You know if it the correct reg key as will have the email adress as R2R etc listed and other reg info pertinent to that specific key. Long as it not encrypted lol which i highly doubt :)
