I am not into ANY of the genres you mention except maybe soul. I do a lot of funk/soul type music. The thing is that in the group I am with we do a lot of exploration of arrangement. It is possible I/we could offer help on arrangement. This depends on how you approach things. If we think totally differently in our approaches you may not be receptive to suggestions. Like for instance, when I am producing an arrangement with a vocal melody, I tend to work from the vocal out. Most of my recommendations are based on the vocal and what they need in the arrangement and mix. I am nearing completion of an arrangement of a track with a very dear friend. It started as a very basic sketch from her. We started discussing this, and together we developed ideas and tried them in. It is now a full song at just under 3.5 minutes. The key is to be working with someone who is open minded. I usually have a reason for what I suggest, and it is usually based on what I feel the vocal needs as support from the band/arrangement. It is amazing to see this sort of thing develop, and it has everything to do with the compatibility between us. We work in public so you could look in on our interactions and discussions, and you can see how we think as we developed this. It really is a thing of beauty. I might be able to offer ideas, but this depends on what you find important in an arrangement. If you have much different goals in your productions, we probably won't have much to talk about.
