Hi guys, what do you think? Tell me if you think there's improvements to be done, if you would have mixed it in another way or if I fucked up on something

there's already 4 voices for each harmony and a fifth to lead the main melody, making that 13 voices. I believe there's not really much use in adding more of my voices. If I had another microphone or another singer, I believe it would work, because of the differences. Although I haven't tried more than 13, you could be right!

Anyway, I'll post here the result if I do it, but I don't have much time these days because of exams and all...

Did you physically position yourself in different spots in front of the mic for each take? That can help with some spacial distancing perspectives

    Oh yikes, I forgot! hahahaha
I had it all in mind and forgot half of it while actually recording
At least I think I oriented the mic right heh

    Sounds great to me.
If I had to improve this I maybe would deess a tiny bit more. Or take more highs out of the reverb. But besides that I would not change anything. Love it.

    Constructive crticism:

    1. Too much of the same voices in the same key.
    2. Not enough harmony. See 1. for the fix.
    3. Absolutely the wrong reverb; it sounds like the shower room.
    4. Voices are too together (is it called quantized?). In real life things in a mix sound slightly separated because they're listening to each other, causing a slight delay; it maybe miliseconds but if things are too perfectly aligned, it sounds unnatural and robotic.
    5. There should be no lead vocal in a harmony.

Those are all fair points yes, I'm taking them all as very constructive.
Two notes though: I didn't quantize anything, but I guess it's also because all voices are me. The pronunciation kept being the same in every take, so it ends up feeling quantized.
And, yeah, this time I put the lead to make it more like the original song (Fraccions, by Soen), but you're completely right sir.

    Thank you, Thankful :^)

    Sounds already nice !

Here's a very interesting Video about Vocal production techniques.

In theory You could apply them to each Line to fatten things up.

What also helps along with placing your self around different areas of the room, is how your singing. Try to tonally shape your vocals that is contrasting to what you're normally used to (low larynx/high larynx vocals/dynamics/vowels).

I am by no means a singer, never recieved any training, but I get what you're saying. I'm taking from this that the more I can vary the voices, the better the will sound together, at least with the intention of making a choir.

It seems that no one heard the out of tune at 0.30 when you sing “slowly“. And I surely try it with other reverbs.

Yes! This is just a personal approach that seems to help in my case, but hopefully it helps you too.

I don't believe that part is out of tune at all. It sounds like an inverted "IV" chord with the bass on the fifth.
