Hello guys I have a problem watching movies on my TV, lets see if you can help me.
I usually watch movies on a software called Stremio (like popcorn time or Netflix). But the audio on this software has too much dynamics. There are times when you can't hear a dialogue because the volume its too low, but when comes a explosion, or a crash, the volume is very very loud.

I was wondering if there is a software, like a compressor, that I could apply to my output on Macbook. Like a Virtual compressor. I don't know if a was clear.

When I watch movies, I don't use a interface with speakers. The audio is going directly to my TV through
    HDMI Cable.
    I am on MacBook Pro.

    Thanks for your help!
    Sorry my bad English

You've explained it just fine. There're TVs with a "night mode" option that just do that: compression.
I know a few programs on Windows, but on Mac no clue.

You need to upgrade to the new Mac Pro if you want to stream movies with high quality audio.
Then buy latest UAD Apollox16 and route Netflix output to Logic pro Fairchild 670.

    Rogue Amoeba Hijack can do the system audio capture, host AU plugins, and output wherever you wish;
then you need some plugin to handle long-term "autogain" riding,

Flux Jünger Audio Level Magic plugin would be perhaps best, but something like Melda MAutoVolume will probably do what you need too

if its not a totally trashy mix
any of those apps above will do fine
i use ddmf fx rack (paid)

    the fx i use
waves vocal rider or bass rider
very slow release to get rid of (excessive) pumping

(+ maybe a dynamic eq for night viewing(bassboom control)

for something less cpu heavy and simplest setup there is
peters eq APO (sometimes just eq is enough)

best is of course if you have a scope system
    or antelope and possible uad.
assign the Brickwall to your channels and done ;)

VLC has a buil-in compressor equalizer...

let me take the chance to tell you how i consume movies or series, first of all i use a website called rarbg, to search for whatever movie i want in high quality if i want to, (usually blue-ray) and i use a software called Webtorrent.

What webtorrent does, is steam from torrent, instead of waiting for the whole thing to download, you could just stream it, start by pasting the magnet link into the software give it a good 10 second count and start watching (highly depends on the file volume and internet speed).

what Webtorrent does is uses VLC as a player (usually) while downloading the file at the same time, now using VLC internal compressor, and to avoid the problem you just mention i tweak it a little and boom! smooth experience...

    hope this helps someone.

I use VLC player to watch movies on TV and I have no problems with audio and video quality. You can find the required version at
https://freewindows10.download/. If you will find other solving to your problem it will be good if you can share it with me. Really interested in the way you will solve your problem.
