What the fuck? No other synth behaves like this for me...not even Phase Plant's unoptimized presets. Is it bugged?

What does the DSP56300 Virus Emulator (Osirus) run like on the same machine? The version you are using doesn't import Virus TI soundsets, does it? sort of pointless, unless there is no demo that you can try before buying it (or not)

Phase Plant is well optimized. However, that doesn't make loading multiple wavetable & granular oscillators up with 50+ FX not use a decent bit of CPU usage. Some of the presets get very busy and even have FX that don't do anything.
I suppose pigments or even unfiltered audio lion (which also has unlimited FX) would be a better example of a CPU intensive synth though.

 

For me it is similar to something like Serum. Very complex patches can get weighty, but they aren't what might be considered unreasonable.

I concede that Diva sounds awesome, but a few nice patches could get you looking up the nearest new computer retailer and checking your bank account balance.
