Video editor?

    He wants to cut head and tail of a video losslessly, and possibly simply. Premiere? Vegas? :hahaha: He's not working on a home film project, or at least that's my impression. :wink:

    AviDemux is what you need my friend: http://fixounet.free.fr/avidemux/ It's a free and small program that works losslessy by default - just copies audio and video from source by default. You can edit head and tail, and in between easily. It's also great for transcribing videos into whatever format you need. Otherwise I would suggest Virtualdub, but it's more complicated to setup and you can only export AVI files from it, but you can try that little and powerful program as well. http://www.virtualdub.org/

    edit: lots of great info in this thread about non-linear video editors, though. :winker: Also, when you want to edit a video losslessly you have to cut it on keyframes, so make sure your video has lots of those, best every second at least. DV video is all keyframes, but MPEG, AVI, MOV, FLV, MKV not.
