Already famed for its samples and plugins, Vengeance Sound has introduced two new audio processing devices that look set to further enhance its reputation.

First up is Glitch Bitch, the company's contribution to the ever-growing range of glitch plugins currently on the market. Promising to let you create "the craziest glitch and stutter effects you ever heard," this enables you to shorten or increase buffer sizes, sync buffers to your host tempo, add high- or low-pass filters, apply rate reducing, reverse the buffers, use the "advance buffer mode" to create previously unheard effects, pitch down your buffers, apply volume and pan modulations, draw custom envelopes and use the internal sequencer for triggering.

Glitch Bitch can be yours for £40, though an eLicenser USB dongle is required. (Fhuuu' [IMG] )

Secondly, we have Tapestop which, as its name suggests, can be used to create the classic tape stop effect. This 'deluxe' plugin, however, promises to go beyond this one simple effect and let you concoct all kind of pitching madness, with a built-in sequencer, volume and filter envelopes and "tape slip" feature all on hand.

Tapestop is also available for £40 and, again, an eLicenser USB dongle is required.(Fhuuu' x2[IMG] )

EVERYONE If you don't want to spend 65.00 $ for a Tapestop effect (and you need that kind of effect), Illformed Glitch 2 can do both Glitch Bitch and Tapestop effects all in one plugin for 60.00$. (less with 5 bucks, but at least you can achieve both the effects, which means you save more than double the price as you would've spend for GlitchBitch and Tapestop.)

These ones are cool too, but the high price and Dongle is a deal breaker for me. Anyway, if you don't care about these factors, then you can take them in consideration for a future investment.

Well said baxter, for Mac there are no free alternatives afaik, loved DBlue glitch when I was on Win
Well said bl33d too, I just don't get what people find in this Vengeance crap. Other than ready out of the box monotone EDM crappy loop.
Add to that the hardware eLicenser bullsh!t and I'm out, no matter it can the best plug-in ever.

The only Vengeance plug I found interesting when it first came out was Multiband Sidechain,
it was promising (never tried it btw) as achieving that inside a daw with old school routing & cross-overing was a pita,
but now I'm in love with FabFilter Pro-MB, just awesome for mb sidechaining and great for everyday multi-band dynamics duty too of course.

These two can't do anything that can't be done with any decent glitch plug-in out there, for what I can see from the demo vids
iZotope Stutter Edit (my 1st choice everytime) goes far beyond
Also Illformed glitch and SugarBytes Effectrix are pretty good,
All the plugs mentioned in this topic does the job of these 2 plugs together, even the free ones.

Anyway thanks for the info Evorax, it's always nice to be up to date with what this world has to offer *yes*

    Cause
Hardware eLicenser actually, the worst species in the dongle animal world :snuffy:

Don't get any from vengeance. Had my licenser broken once and lost all my licenses. I had like 600 € in vengeance plugins. Send them all inquiries etc. but this company has not support at all! They have a emailadress where you can write, but they will tell you that if the copy protection gets broken or stolen, that you then loose your hole investment. No responsibility at all. Was thinking of getting a lawyer, had talked to him about this situation, but he recommended me to just take the money that a lawsuit would cost and get other products because there is always a risk with this.... So i have to warn everybody about that company, it was the worst customer experience i ever had.

It's virtually impossible to f-up your licenses if you are following Steinberg's best practice recommendations.

Actually I was referring to the "backup your freakin purchases because you may lose your usb dongle" section, but what you've said is also true.
