    Hey!

    I just tried installing T-RackS 4.10 and I got the following error:

    [IMG]

    This is what VC++ runtimes have already been installed:

    After starting Ableton Live T-RackS seems to be working and I don't get any errors. However, I'm still wondering, what's wrong with the installation.

    Does anyone know what's going on?

    Cheers,
    Obsessed

    A got this error when I was installing Tube Saturator. However, after installation the plugin seems to be working, even though I don't have the proper VC++ version installed on my computer.

    Any thoughts on this?

    Looks like you haven't installed the x64 version of the vc++2008
    You need both (x86 and x64) on a 64bit system
    The error message mentiones MS VisualStudio 2008, so this could cause the problems

    Install the latest x64 version and and try again

    It seems like the R2R installer was trying to install the vc++ 2008 but failed.

    I didn't get the error while using the VST-plugin. I got the error while trying to install the plugin.

    DrumcodeX, if you look at the "Team R2R Custom installer" it says "Installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable x64"

    lol, I was looking at it right at that moment :yes:
    If I were you I'd just install the x64 version from MS --> https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=15336 and see what happens. Maybe the R2R version needs to have a vc++2008 x64 already installed, idk. The T-RackS installer is missing something as well.

    You said the plugins are working properly, but it could cause future problems anyway if you don't install the x64 version of that vc++
    It doesn't hurt, I promise! :)

    Thank you for the reply! :)

    If I install "Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package" do I need to install "Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package" before that?

    just installed TubeSaturator2, only to take a look
    the installer says vc++2008 x64 is already installed and therefore no problems at all, everything's fine

    so maybe, only maybe, installing that pack could help you out :unsure:

    (I'm just kiddin', don't take it serious)

    EDIT: sry, didn't see your reply while I was typing. have to take a look at that, don't know atm
    EDITEDIT: I'm not sure tbh, but I'm suggesting if you have ServicePack 1 installed on your system (I don't even know which Windows you have, is it Win7?) you're good with the SP1 version.

    I have Win7 with latest updates.

    This was already installed:

    Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)

    I installed these in the following order:

    Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x64)
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x64)
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package MFC Security Update (x64)
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package MFC Security Update (x86)

    I uninstalled T-RackS and Tube Saturator.
    Then I reinstalled both plugins without any problems.
    DrumcodeX, thank you for your help! :mates:

    Even though everything seems to be working all right at the moment, I'm still wondering why T-RackS and Tube Saturator installers didn't work correctly.

    Usually R2R installers work without any problems and the additional VC++ are installed during the installation process.

    You're welcome mate, no worries!

    I can't really tell you the actual reason why the installers didn't work correctly at first try.
    Maybe the fact that there was only one version (x86) of that vc++ installed on your system, instead of the required two (x86 and x64) lead to some kind of conflict in that department. But that's just speculation, I'm not "nerdy" enough to really answer this. :)

    However, it seems to work now and that's the main thing :wink:

    cheers
