Are there any mp3/flac players that let you varispeed the playback? I used to use a guitar amp sim but it stopped working. I would like to tune the music to my guitar instead of guitar to the music.

    Amazing Slow Downer
    or
Winamp + Roni Music Slow Me Down plugin
    or
Mediamonkey + Roni Music Slow Me Down plugin

but for sure there are many other players that do that.

Yes, any daw is able to do that (beside Reaper is my favourite), also Traktor and stuff alike. But I think that the OP wanted a quick and simple player.

Yes, I agree, but on the other side, as Reaper can open several projects at the same time, with project list function, it's easy to use it as a playlist rehearsal tool.
I use it all the time, actually my rehearsal list contains 42 titles, and it loads perfectly.

Also , it's very easy to tune a song to your guitar with it.

The thing with Reaper is that is quicker loading than several players. With the simplicity perhaps it's not what the OP needs indeed. But if someone provides with some sort of template...

When I want to play along with tracks at different speeds/tunings I just do it in my DAW. Real time time-stretching/pitch shifting in FL Studio is a true blessing. It's the most convenient for me cause I have all my virtual amps there and I can record something immedately if I want to.

If you want something more simple the app "transcribe" by seven string software is not bad either.

    I don't quite understand what you're looking for ??

you want different pitch or different speed?

    because if you want just a different pitch, you can use some pitch shifting plugin in some mainstream audio player which supports VSTs or AUs plugins, and that's basically all;

if you want different speed, or different speed AND pitch - it would be perhaps more useful to use some DAW like Reaper, and actually export/save your desired results for later use

I think I begin to get what the OP asks, if I'm right he wants different speed. I still would do it still inside a DAW, but there's a couple guitar-oriented apps for that (some perhaps with VST version besides the standalone).

I once tested one of them grabbed from AZ, don't remember the name.
There's also this, DAW-like oriented to slow down in order to learn to play os transcribe guitar stuff

Both, but it would be nice to have the speed of opening as fast as say Winamp. No waiting for scans of all my VST's.

I don't remember if it can do pitch shifting but I'd go with JamVox. It has other guitar-oriented nice possibilities, like guitar isolation/extraction based on panning and frequency.

It's a standalone app so it loads fast. Probably also plugin version.
