I had twice the opportunity to buy them at a very affordable price, but the experience with the 2020bas (which I have owned for years) discouraged me, I am probably wrong but I had no chance to listen to them and now the price is comparable to many products.

Nice studio but always the tweeters oriented on the sides,and not on the middle!
Your mixes have the bass on the center of the stereo image,and high frequencies on the sides,so it's irrelevant to put the speakers like you do.

 

Yeah, flip 'em around, over, whatever.... so that the woof woofs are in the middle, at least

I do like the angles in that room! A little small for such big speakers I would think.

The placement of the speakers as well as the acoustic treatment of my room was realized by an acoustic engineering design office (Paris) and on the advice of Focal's technical support themselves.

Trio 6 Be as well as the SM9 have been designed for a positioning of the tweeter towards the inner but in case of constraints ,if needed, it's possible to point the tweeters outwards to increase the width of the stereo image.

However, you should report to Focal, acoustician engineers and all those who use their Trio 6 Be in this position that they are wrong...

For me it's irrational.Even if I'm not an engineer from Paris.

 

I can understand, however all the acoustic measurements realized speak for themselves.

From the Trio 6 Be user manual:

'' The Beryllium inverted dome tweeter has one major advantage: its very low directivity ''.
