Avid Pro Tools Now Includes UVI Falcon Delivering Powerful Creative Hybrid Instrument and High Quality Sound

...yeah aint this just BS. (a little bitter) have been looking at getting this for sometime now and now this comes in PT...sigh

 

I've been a long time Pro Tools user over 10+ years when it was still digidesign. Avid's business moves with upgrade pricing and slowness to bring new features over the years turned me off. However the 2018 edition seems to me like Avid is actually trying this time around. I finally decided to upgrade on Black Friday.

Then today I find out we get Falcon. Which is very cool. However they said it could take up to one week before it appears in users accounts to be downloaded. I know I don't have it in my account as of yet.

Just wish more of the R2R gifts we get worked with legit pro tools. I buy what I can but there are a few things I'm still working towards.

 

Wow .. Shitty I stopped using Protools way back in TripleDat days... But to be honest back then it was a pure lack of $$ decision.
But the total price just over 700 makes it sound like your getting a killer deal but your not.
It totals that every year and will no doubt continue to rise yearly but with some new add on thrown into the rental to make the fee worth it.

So what happens if after the year you decide to move away from protools do you loose falcon ? There's no way they gonna give both aax and vst version to you.

So unless your already committed to a yearly rental fee it's just marketing hoopla to gain new monthly subscriptions..

 

Why couldn't I live in a parallel universe where it were instead bundled with Studio One... but then again, that compromise the copy protection.
