It doesn't sound like your problem is in Logic at all, to me. Did you already ask this on another site, and no-one has answered there yet?

You already had this working before updating MacOS version or Crossover? Specifically, CrossOver V. 25.20250519 (38579) ? Have people in that thread already mentioned this configuration will work?

Falcon needs to be loaded into an Instrument slot on a Software Instrument track. Beside that, your issue is somewhere in Crossover (or Crossgridder). Did you update Crossover over itself, or did you clean up first and then install? If you already have Soothe2 working, this should be almost no difference, just where you load the plugin inside Logic. Falcon shouldn't even show up as a Midi Controlled FX in Logic normally, only as an instrument plugin. If you already had it working in another MacOS and Crossover version, you're likely already doing everything right and it is an underlying issue with compatibility or your install of the software.

 

Please could you confirm that AGridder (inst) can be loaded into the AU Instrument track at Logic in the following configuration:

Sequoia 15.6 (24G84) (Intel) or Sequoia 15.5 (Intel)
Logic Pro 11.2.2
AudioGridderPlugin_1.2.0_1_macOS-universal.pkg
CrossGridder 1.5
CrossOver v. 25.20250519 (38579)

 

pt1 Hi , definitely works in logic 11.2.2 ,sequoia 15.6, only difference is crossover, I rolled back to 24.0.7 a while ago and keep it at that version. that might? be the issue but not sure. Do you have other instruments in the e47 audiogridder list in logic ? do other instruments from there open sucssessfully? and also do you have all the dependencies in the bottle? all those c++ redistributable? maybe could be that? and like previous poster clone said you have to open on instrument track.

pt2 ps might be logic 11.2.2 , some reason not opening properly now will have a look ,also remember something else got added about allow network connections? could be that not sure. will try look

pt3 ok , my logic messed up wouldn't open for some reason. sorted that ,then went to instrument plugin list loaded e47 inst . it opened but didn't connect so had to click on a button and click add. then it worked. loaded falcon and it does work.
I did update to sequoia 15.6 not long ago not sure if that has something to do with it?
so no idea why you can't see e47 inst in the plugin instrument list ,should be there. Maybe try letting logic rescan plugins again and /or swap crossover version to 24.0.7. I would do that first because I downgraded back to that version for some reason I can't remember. I don't really use logic but it definitely works.only diff from what I can see is crossover version.

I don't know what's going on here, but this is all very strange, I've tried this on two different machines with Sequoia 15.6 (Intel) and also on MacBook Pro with Sequoia 15.6 (Intel) with the same tools:

Logic Pro 11.2.2
AudioGridderPlugin 1.2 and CrossGridder 1.5
So, the result is the same an all machines:
1. AGridder is NOT available in Instrument as e47 > AGridder (inst).
2. AGridder is available on MIDI FX as Audio Units > e47 AGridder (midi) Audio FX
3. AGridder is available on Audio FX as Audio Units > e47 AGridder

What I have tried:.
1. Trashing all cache in AudioUnitsCache / deleting “com.apple.audiounits.cache” then rebooting
2. Disabling offending plugins, rebooting and rescanning.
Unfortunately AGridder is still NOT available in Instrument as e47 >AGridder (inst)

Then I tried on a machine with BigSur (11.7.10)
Logic Pro 10.7.4
AudioGridderPlugin 1.2 and the same CrossGridder 1.5
here everything works fine and I see that on the instrument track AGridder appeared as e47 > AGridder (inst) and I can run Falcon.

Yeah that's weird, no idea why that's happening .And they're probably the same au component your putting on different computers.You can see it in plugin manager ,maybe try see if there's any difference in there? but bet you prob did that. try putting logic 11.7 on the sequoia machine see if that works then u could rule out logic version as the issue for now till u work it out.

Full reset does not do the same thing as deleting and rebuilding the cache. It removes all validation records too. It is even more heavy-handed.

I would check to see if your system even sees the plugin first. Try using Bluecats Patchwork plugin and also the standalone version to see if your system will even load the Audiogridder instrument plugin. You go manually select it from your /components folder, so you are forcing it to look at the plugin rather than just giving Logic a chance to skip it.

If you figure out Logic is just skipping it, I would first treat it like any other rogue plugin; so I would Codesign it, look at it in BatChmod, etc. All the same stuff you would do with 3rd party plugins.

Good point didn't realise it did that , never had to use it.Ill delete that bit.Yeah when I was trying it yesterday I tried opening the vst in patchworks and it works, so yeah see if you can see the vst or au in there like clone said.

 

Yeah I just tried with Bluecats Patchwork it works in logic, also I tried removing all plugins from logic and tried also code signing AudioGridderInst.component
AudioGridderInst.VST
AudioGridderInst.VST3
then run BatChmod for all AudioGridderInst, but without luck, the AudioGridderInst still not appearing in logic Instrument track

that's mad, no idea why, prob got to be logic then .like I said my 11.2.2 randomly wouldn't open a few days ago no idea why? so maybe just wait for next logic version it might fix something. I had to roll back 11.2 to the version before when that came out, that wasn't showing some plugins on mine.so it could just be a randomly buggy logic release, or still have some bugs from that release.

 

Now you're getting somewhere anyway. We know that your MacOS version is not blocking Audiogridder due to signing authority or anything like that. If it would not be too inconvenient, I would try even reinstalling Logic.

It's kind of funny you are able to get around iLok, launch a Windows plugin on MacOS in Logic; and the holdup is getting Audiogridder Synth to load as an instrument. Make sure that works normally by just getting the Audiogridder instrument .component in a normal Logic Instrument track.

I'm running low on guesses atm. If nothing else works, maybe you should update your post on the other site with the new info about it working in Patchwork. I'm on Intel/Catalina so I cannot test anything.

I think I would get rid of the two VST and VST3 format plugins. Do you know if the Audiogridder Instrument component is for Apple Silicon based Macs? Check to make sure you have the right one.

Yeah, I'm 100% sure, it's absolutely impossible as Sequoia (intel) will not allow Apple Silicon based files to be installed on Intel System.
Therefore I use correct one AudioGridderPlugin_1.2.0_1_macOS-universal.pkg or AudioGridderPlugin_1.2.0_1_macOS-x86_64.pkg

 

I forgot your cpu type being Intel, because this is an even weirder situation then.

Does the audiogridder instrument plugin even show up in your Logic plugin Manager?

I have Falcon legit also, but don't forget you cannot use R2R's Falcon expansion releases in legit Falcon. You can use them this way since the version of Falcon being used is from them also. You can see some of the latency added values in his above screenshots, but for mixing plugins that's not exactly a deal breaker. Better results from just using an ethernet cable between your Mac and a pc though. It works with many plugins, but not everything will work for various reasons.

Update!
After numerous tests with different versions of Logic Pro X, I found that Audio Gridder as Instrument run and works on Sequoia 15.6 (intel) with Logic Pro X version 10.8.1 ONLY!
Hope this helps someone out!

 

Still doesn't work for you on latest logic? still not sure why ?I have it working on latest logic so it does work. 11.2.2 ,sequoia 15.6 intel .still prob only difference is crossover version ,unless you changed it. did you check all dependencies in bottle ,c++ ones. not sure that makes a difference but only thing I can think of.did u try with logic 11.1? If it's not crossover version , might just be logic 11.2.2 version u installed. can you get it and install again from another download? because it definitely works.dont know whats stopping it from showing on that version u have.

The crossover has nothing to do with it, as in Logic Pro the AGridder(inst) plugin should launch and display without running the crossover, assuming of course, that AudioGridderPlugin is installed directly on your Mac system.

Yes and No, because I use a legal version of Logic, but I can use an ill version for testing purposes.

However, as I mentioned above, I have already tried many versions of Logic without success, i.e. starting with Logic 11 the AGridder(inst) plugin does not work. I'm very surprised that it works for you. Can you tell me what kind of system you have, hackintosh? What motherboard, processor, etc.? Thanks
