changed my life about 3 years ago,
never have had to use windows search anymore,
Even clients ask about it, we play a kind of lingo with it.
With great succes all the time.

I have 2 in my signature.
I also love Portable Apps & Liberkey.
    www.liberkey.com
    https://portableapps.com/

They can be put on flash drive for use anywhere.
On my own computer, I make shortcuts to the actual .exe files and not the "portable" ones.
On my own computer I am happy if they write to registry, and this way I do not need to be running PortableApps or Liberkey.
I could just collect them myself, but it is easy to just open Liberkey and Portable apps and let them do updates.
I also love Classic Shell (No longer being developed under "Classic Shell" name, but now an open source project) and similar menu managers.
It still works great on Win10. http://www.classicshell.net/

Everything everything everything. As people said, best search ever. Oh and screw Cortana lol. https://www.voidtools.com/support/everything/
Treesize. Dunno what i'd do without it. I have a gazillion project and music/audio files, samples etc. This one does indexing/analyzing disk contents with a ton of attributes to choose from, able to export lists in various formats like excel, html, simple text. Always find what eats the most space on your drives, including system drives too. Get rid of dupes easily as well.
After installation it's always avail, it embeds in Windows' right click menu: https://www.jam-software.com/treesize

For us music types the tools WhoCrashed, WhySoSlow and LatencyMon are almost essential.

In short, WhoCrashed can analyze your bluescreens and give a clue what caused a crash, WhySoSlow looks up at your system setup and offers advice why it might run slowly. Then LatencyMon gives a reading on DPC latency and is helpful when diagnosing crackles and dropouts.

Or just use Foobar2000 for all tagging. It tags even WAVs. Additionally it is a great music player [can use ASIO], audio sample rate converter [especially with SoX plugin], and you can even burn audio CDs with Nero engine [but who uses CDs these days anyway ;)]. Foobar2000 is something I install routinely on every Windows computer, but I always have to point out that it's so much more than just a music player. For example if you want to batch convert a ton of WAV files you'd like to sample convert to xxkHz with r8brain [from Voxengo] quality, you can use Foobar2000 instead.

Although I must admit r8brain is one of my most used programs in Windows. Since I only use it for audio, I don't have too many programs installed on it, except for audio.

Oh, forgot some essential other system tools, Sysinternals' software is very good.

https://live.sysinternals.com/ , or official MS page here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/

The ones that I personally have used for years are Process Explorer, which is basically the Windows Task Manager on steroids. And AutoRuns tells you exactly what gets started on bootup and lets you control those.
