Hi,

I have K'ed PT9.0.0 installed and want to upgrade to 9.0.6. I just downloaded the full K'ed Avid Pro Tools HD v.9.0.6 MacOSX | 7.77 GB. There's a 9.0.6 update included with this release, and I am wondering if upgrading would mess up my current working 9.0.0 version? Anyone have experience with this?

 

To be honest, I have always seen this 9.0.6 release but never been able to download it. As far as I know, 9.0.4 was the last pseudo XVX release. If you get it to work and it turns to be stable, it'd mean a chance to run it in Lion. If you decide to take the leap, please report results.

BTW, where did you get it?

 

Im really interested to know the results to.. Ive been looking for a way to use pro tools 9 again on my mac

 

I have done it workin ok not that i have tried everything PT offers yet only the usual
So it may have problems with some things you may not even need

Apparently i didnt have 9.0.6
It was one of those pranks that some idiots have done by simply rename the update dmg file
And i didnt notice it i simply just updated
And since i hate to watch the startup count of the plugins which takes forever i usually go for a cup of coffe when i start PT so i never notice which version i have.
But today i notice it is version 9.0.3 "so thank you so much for that 9.0.6 update whoever you are?"
Anyway since someone have tried the REAL 9.0.6 and it didn´t work i am glad it wasn´t the real update

 

FWIW,

I had a working version of 9.0.3 on SL. I just bout a new computer with ML installed and installed my PT 9.0.3 K'd and it had an "X" through it. I installed the update to 9.0.6 that I could only get from the AVID website … and now it's asking for iLok. I actually didn't install the whole update but rather just that parts I needed .. skipping the PACE auth and iLok stuff.

So now I'm looking for a 9.0.6 patch or crack to bypass iLok. Anyone know of anything?

 

I know that legal version of 9.0.6 work on ML … interesting that no one has K'd it for ML.

I guess I'm out of luck?!

if I buy pro tools original will the ilok let me use all my k'd plug ins?
would it be a different story if i was using the latest mbox?

taken for granted that there is no way to have a fully working pro tools k'd on a retina display macbook pro as it comes with ML native I was ready to pay for the original software but not ready to loose all those beautiful plugs! (the only way i got a pro tools 9 working is with the xvx emulation but too big latency to record with it!)
