Updating Waves on Mac

    There are some similar threads on here but not this...

    I'm think I'm overly worried, but there are some sort of interesting new Waves plugins and I'm on v9.1, so I downloaded the newest Waves (9.6.1). I'm on a Mac and I use logic X.

    So I have this installer (.dmg). I have the directions. Do I uninstall the old Waves and install this new one? Seems risky.

    I am so afraid of losing past plugins/data. After updating to OSX 10.11.5 and losing Softube, I may not even risk this. But I'm going to have to one day. Am I?
