Hello,

I am trying to get a new version of Kontakt. I am currently running Kontakt 6.3.2 in my DAW (FL Studio) and have been adding my libraries through Kontakt 5.6.0. Both versions have been downloaded through the sister site.

I am wondering if I can just download a new version of Kontakt from the sister site and it will update what I am currently using. I am not concerned with transferring over any libraries from my current Kontakt to a new version, I mostly just want a new version so I can run newer libraries. Any input or help with this would be greatly appreciated.

You should be careful updating. You can end up with work to get everything back to normal. Try using KLU (Kontakt Library Utility). I am not a Kontakt user but it looks like a great solution to k6 libraries on Mac. https://audiosex.pro/threads/klu-kontakt-library-utility.68288/. If you can easily re-add your things using KLU after you update; you would have less to worry about trying a new version.
