Dude, I didn't think anybody else even knew about this obscure little DAW!! Making Waves was also MY very first DAW.
It came free with the "purchase" of Computer Music Magazine.

This little DAW was surprisingly effective. I made some great songs on it, all using the samples that came from Computer Musics's "free" CD's.

Seeing this brought back so many memories.

Stupid thread is stupid. Why not boast about how good a daw you like is instead of shit on someone else's experience/ opinion might be. These kinds of threads should not be allowed.

If you really want to try a different daw, why wouldn't you try and learn as much as possible and see if it's a good fit. If not move on.

Again stupid threads like this just bring unnecessary attention.

I do, and yeah, it was strange how CW just ditched it. Almost certain it would have evolved into an accomplished app.
They have a new cheap daw on their site. For $49 it looks featured enough for the price to write and record on.

It's not strange, because there are too many entry level DAWs. Many companies like Arturia, Steinberg, Synapse Audio, Magix, Sony, Adobe and so on had similar products, but they can't compete with FL/Ableton and are now abandonware or not popular.

Yeah, it was strange how CW ditched software that had a good reputation on music sites like kvr. It even gets asked about every now and then, such is the lingering fondness.
They did release a 2.5.1 update in march of this year, but I think it was more about getting the new service centre installed on as many machines as possible than anything else.
