    Hey guys,

Can you upload multitrack recordings of your song here for people who'd like to do practice mixes like me?

or maybe we can do a "mixing battle" just for fun?

I love Clive Barker as well. I also have a thing for H.P. Lovecraft who was one of the greatest literary figures in horror in my honest opinion. His stories are permeated with such atmosphere that it's literally palpable.

    Good links

A lot of People in general do not understand how music really sounds like in Raw Recordings LOL

If you listen to the multitrack "Every Breath you take" by the Police ( posted here on audioz) that is not what you hear on the radio or on the CD. It is 90% different in terms of mixing.

The multitracks are stems, no outboard hardware, are not passing through the SSL or Neve Console so you will never get the comercial mix sound.

In the end Hardware is everything in a Studio, can't get away with it with Protools and a $200 interface, even though that is what Avid want's you to think.

If you listen to some stems from The Joshua Tree Album you would puke and say a Garage band sounds better than this shit.

The problem that some garage bands have is they do not have access to good studios, an SSL 4000 G console, tons of outboard compressers, reverbs etc.

Yes money does make a big difference in fact I put that different at 80% .

So when I hear some home recordings I always give a thumbs up to them because some of the ones I heard sound 10 times better than any commercial stems I ever heard.

One of the biggest problems we have in Daw's is the Stereo mixing plugins.

Example: a plugin that allows you to place your tracks or groups of tracks VISUALLY in the stereo field ALL AT ONCE!! none of this 1 track at a time nosense.

That would help out with the tracks being put in the right place.

This is similar to Reapers Reasurround plugin, however seeing all the tracks at once would help out.

The best visually stereo mixing plugin section is from Samplitude Pro, but 1 track at a time work.

Still do not understand that need for all these stereo plugins crap, when what we need is 1 plugin that shows us all our tracks and allows us to place them in the stereo field VISUALLY so that we can see where MID SIDE tracks go, where Centered tracks go, where FULL LEFT OR RIGHT tracks go, but doing this all with your eyes and ears and thus seeing the tracks positionings vs the other tracks, as right now this is IMPOSSIBLE to see.

Since half of the features from consoles are weirdly not in Daw's for some dumb reason, at least with this plugin idea you would never have to pan a track PERIOD!! as that is done on the final Stereo plugin Matrix

It is mind boggling why are we panning tracks at all with a Daw, 1 plugin put at the master track and 1 small plugin at each track thus allowing us to control where each track goes where we want WITHOUT Touching any tracks PANNING buttons

We could eliminate pan buttons .

This is where Reasurround from Reaper is headed ( I hope)
However it has some issues with Stereo pairs channels.

This would take Daw's into the Future and make mixing SIMPLE AND DEAD BRAIN PERFECT.

Example the center line, any track you place on that lane ( line is segmented for precice positions) would be in the center, any track put on the LEFT 90 degree line would be left.

The best feature is the COPY track function that allows you to place ghost tracks on the other sides

This is the future of mixing.

I'm sure I haven't been doing this for nearly as long as you dan but I had a similar thought one day after working on a track. Good stuff.
