    I am curious, how do you learn how to arp sounds? Check out the song intro in the link below:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpWJD2sGvns

    It sounds like they are using FireBird VST - TurboClean preset, but how do you develop arps outside of using the same scale such as C Major, upwards: C5 E G, C6 E G, C7 E G
    What I mean is, it sounds predictable and boring, how do you arp things upwards and know its going to sound well using sounds outside the major scale you are using? or is it all experimenting?

    Check out arpeggiators like Kirnu, Cream or BlueArp - or even Cthulhu!

    Find some chords seq that's will go well together. If your song has only one chords, it won't sound so great and interesting.
    In this song it goes :
    Dm (D F A) - Em (E G B) - Am (A C E)

    The 3rd (second note in a basic chords) give you the major relative : in the song Dm -> F , Em -> G , Am -> C.
    building this new chords, will give you one more note, which will sound quite right (not totally in, it won't sound right on the time but it's ok along an arp)
    F = F A C
    G = G B D
    C = C E G

    going back to your first chords sequence : | Dm | Em | Am | Am |
    you can come up with 4 notes arp per chords (most pleasing notes first)
    Dm - D A F C
    Em - E B G D
    Am - A E C G

    See which arps work best along the tempo.

    I noticed that you ordered them differently with 4 notes, rather than how they are ordered with 3, is there a reason for that?
