My iLok Cloud has an account under my name and my UADx show up as a Guest Account.

I can't figure out how to get them into my account, which is activated with the same name and the iLok on the same email etc. I'm signed in etc, but when I open them in my DAW they just go into Guest, not the iLok account.

I got an iLok 3 USB key and I'm trying to move the licenses on there.

 

Close iLok Cloud session using iLok Licence Manager. Then activate each UADx plugin to your iLok USB key.

Don't forget to enter your iLok account credentials to UA Connect app. You will need this app installed even if your licenses are on iLok USB and you are offline.

 

As much as I'm enjoying using UAD Spark, the one thing that is annoying that every so often, maybe every hour or a little bit more, iLok does the authentication of the plugins. I noticed this yesterday where I was running an extended session in the studio and iLok authenticated the plugins many times. Was very weird.

 

Yes, UA really worked on protecting native plugins in order to prevent cracking. And it's iLok 3 custom layered protection.
I wrote about it in another thread and gave up explaining further because of very stubborn member who claimed it's standard iLok protection.

Unfortunatelly, no it is not.

 

It seems like UAD is doing some wheel of death crap. This is really frustrating to put it mildly

 

This thing isn't working at all. I'm getting some crap on my desktop about 'breadcrumbs' and it keeps hanging when connecting. Keeps throwing the licenses into Cloud, even after closing my cloud... I can see this piece of shit going in the bin and never buying a single iLok license

The amount of issues you get with all this anti piracy crap isn't acceptable. PA has nailed it. Never get any issues with their stuff, they make it easy to transition to legit. The rest should be ashamed of themselves, taking money and causing so much upset across the planet.

 

I finally figured out the iLok issue. I had two accounts and was logged in with the wrong one that I created years ago for a free ProTools license, so the licenses never showed up there...

Finally got these licenses onto the iLok after logging in to the right account and you can't use them on a computer that never sees the Internet. UAConnect needs to connect to download all the spying stuff at least once, to log into your account etc.

So it was a waste of money buying an iLok.

 

Yea it really is annoying. I just got the subscription recently and while I like the plugins...the little pop up that comes up occasionally is crazy.

And no, don't think buying an iLok was a waste. Using iLok Cloud is convenient, but what if Internet goes down? Or you want to just pull out iLok key and use plugins on another offline computer?
My computer is mostly offline and everything is working fine. No issues.
