While this inspired your ignorant response, in reality this possibly is the biggest news coming to the UAD platform in a while, and signals the beginning of a rather intense battle, pitting the Slate VMS against the planned Sphere microphone system. Using the UAD you'll be able to monitor live with the Sphere multi-polar mic modeling software then into a UAD preamp software. This is the new frontier of digital audio, It's nice to see UA get into the tech.

Good news!!!
As I said in another post, Apple dropped optical audio support despite all recent pro audio interface offering SPDIF.
So I'll keep my current mac but in the future I don't want to buy a new one.
