why are pro tools and plugin alliance uncrackable?

the rest is also probably very true. even the 56300 emulator slows my machine quite a bit. that's just one synth. any emulation of the UAD would be using many times more actual hardware resources than that, because it would be all your audio and every plugin instance. that would bring a modern system to a crawl. maybe if you have a supercomputer. a few thousand bucks to UAD starts to look pretty cheap.

As good as that looks on the surface, I am sure most people will ask this question, if not now, definitely later.

There are indicators that it needs a daughterboard of some kind. Is this correct that it only cracks the applications and they won't function without the board or is the board no longer needed?
If the cracked plugins become readily available, people are going to ask that anyway.

Not to burst anyone's bubble.... the sister site is not the first to get everything. Audionews often gets releases well before the sister site does and there are other sites with even more exclusive membership than them, being they have things none of the known sites do including audioz or rutracker. In this day and age, it is sensible to understand that the term 'exclusivity' only exists if nobody knows it as common knowledge and does NOT share it anywhere else. That rarely happens on the listed sites but it definitely occurs elsewhere. It is possible this is another scam from someone who was bored, but who truly knows?

 

Anything can be cracked. Including hardware. It may be cost prohibitive, or the method(s) nessecary may outweight the practical benefits of the end result; but that is not to confuse or assume that it "cannot be done", because it certaily can.

Obviously in the case of UAD, modifing the software would be the most convenient and easiest way for those intrested to accomplish any type of crack or exploit of the UAD system. As modifiying hardware requires a more specialized type of skillset, and still may require software modifications in conjunction for the expolit to work.

Either way, nothing is uncrackable.

ie, in general terms... If a system can be built, it can be dismantled.
