Bitwig is spreading quickly

 

Especially when you're using Linux, the best DAWs to use are Reaper, Bitwig, and Ardour. Hopefully there will be more options in the future. I would like to see Live for Linux.

I use both [preferring Reaper], and Ardour, but I still lack many plugins that I use in Windows 7 that I use only for audio and to play an occasional old game like Need for Speed, Red Alert, Warcraft, and unavoidable Worms Armageddon [lol].

Thank you Ankit for posting this. u-he stuff is great, and thankfully they embraced Linux, too!

 

I warched the video earlier in the day and was impressed by the granular bit that could be synced and the transiant control. It's going to be amazing.

 

Bitwig deserves much more.

 

For good reason. version 4 brought enough feature changes & additions to convince u-he.

 

is it just hazy rain filtering in or do we see more and more urs spittle on the lens as the video progresses?

looks like a great fx little box, the simplest stock reverbs and delays keep me totally ocupated, wouldn't dream of getting such a little monster, would be overkill for me. i can imagine it will be popular though, coming from uhe

 

Is Urs Heckmann speaking that much of Bitwig in this Interview ?

Oh I'm sold, the diffusion and the transient granular thing, glitchy delays oh my god I'm so in...... but I've heard Urs say it will be out soon before, soon is not a word that goes with uhe, quality yes but speed no.......!

 

If it wasn't for the accent, upon first look thought that Urs could have been Rob Chapman.

 

Didn't Bitwig have this massive failure a few months ago where customers whose computers were connected to the internet and who had offline authorizations were all simultaneously deauthorized? Was the second time it happened. They need to fix stuff like that before I can take that DAW seriously, even though apparently the DAW itself is really good.

 

Had no problems with the de-authorized Bitwig problem since first v3 version and i let no update out.

MFM2 sounds fantastic, looks also nice for me. Typical u-he stuff!

 

Gave a like for the post of the video which stands on it's own.

The response was to directly to what @BTHaniss posted. Given Urs background with modular, which he mentions in the video relating to MFM2, it makes since that he would use software designed to work with modular synthesis whether hardware or, software based.

I suspect that MFM2 is just the beginning of new feature development for upcoming/updated products that takes advantage of features in Bitwig.
