I'm trying this synth out for the first time and testing it against some others so I want the highest possible/best sound quality it offers, but the interface is so busy with so many tabs, pages and settings I am not sure if there is oversampling or not?

 

The Hive 2 has no oversampling settings such as discoDSP - Discovery!
The Hive 2 sounds a bit brighter and clearer for some users.
The Hive 2 is delivered with the best possible quality!
Only latency can be adjusted.

Hive 2 Manual: Base Latency
If your DAW automatically sets the buffer size as a multiple of 16 samples, you can deactivate HIV's own base latency setting here. If you are are not sure, leave the setting at '16 samples'.
Note that switching this setting will only take effect when your DAW allows it, e.g. when starting your music track or after changing the sample rate. To be on the safe side, simply reload the plugin.

Hive 2 Manual: MORE ABOUT 'BUFFER'

Internally, HIVE processes audio data in blocks of n x 16 samples. This so-called 'block processing' reduces the processor load and memory consumption of our plug-ins considerably. If the number of samples to be processed is 41, HIVE the first 32 samples are processed first, the remaining 9 remain in a small small buffer (16 samples is sufficient). These 9 samples are then used when
used at the start of the next block ... etc.

This additional buffer is only necessary if your DAW or audio driver works with 'unusual' buffer sizes. In the many DAWs that work with buffers of 64, 128, 256 or 512 samples (i.e. multiples of 16), for example, you could try switching the base latency to 'off' to work without the additional small latency.
