So i installed all a brand new setup on my new laptop like almost 1 month ago.

last week diva started to crackle, so i had to reinstall it.

I tryed all the version on the site (1.0 ....1.1....1.2)

And no....still the crackle problem.

Do one of you found a solution to this ^^

The only non crackling version , is DOA version . Diva 1.1.1 . Delete all other , go to windows registry and delete also there if any record , install this version , enter registration and you should be fine . Extra important remember to block your DAW with windows firewall

 

buy it from the developer , that was my solution and i´m happy with

 

DOA does not work, it timebombs after a while, whether you go online or not.

Diva 1.1.1 from R2R is working fine.

U-he does not call home, so blocking your DAW has no effect on it's blacklisting. U-he also does not write anything in the registry.

If you have problems with installing R2R on Windows 8, install into a Sandbox, then pull out the Diva.dll and the presets manually.

 

I guess i can figure out what sandbox is but i have no clue what "pull out the Diva.dll and the presets manually" mean.
Ill give it a try and let you know in PM if im lost in the process.

Look for "Sandboxie", it installs into a folder on your drive which is virtually structured like your system, then you can find the installed files there. U-he works without installation, you just have to point to the presets manually.

Another tip: When producing audio, especially with 'trial versions', stay away from Windows 8 as long as possible.

Do i have to install diva into sandboxie or in my normal folder ??

 

Well, it's stated in the release thread of Diva. Maybe the serial does not fit to the Diva version. I'm sure every revision gets a new blacklist implemented in the binaries.

DOA's realese of Zebra/ZebraHZ time bombs as well, as you can read in the release threads.

Urs said it can work for months before time bombing, so I guess a lot of people just don't know about yet.

But as I am not a reverse engineer I don't really know what is going on behind the curtains, I just know that all my uncracked U-he products when out of functionally, only the cracked R2R/Assign releases still work.

 

After installing Sandboxie you go to your Diva installer exe, right click and chose "Install in Sandbox" or sth like that. Then Diva installs into the sandbox folder you specifid before.

After finished installation, you go to that folder and look for the Diva.dll and the presets. Don't forget to set the path to the presets with the "Diva.data" file.

It should look sth like this:

P.S. Sorry forgot to say: You have to pull all installed files out of the box, not only the presets, as there are also the grafics/themes etc. etc for the synth.

 

Right, there has a be a working combination. But that package did not pop out when I looked for it lately.

The confusion begins when people start bundling newer revisions with that serials - and users are happy because those bundles work - until the time bomb hits.

And U-he has really long time bombs, you can work six months and more with their products before the bomb explodes.

Its my second try and it gives me the same error message ( missing GUI )

I wish a team will get on the subject seriously soon, because this synth sound realy good and i cant afford it because of my low income.

DoA Works here without any problem . The DoA version stop working , if and only if your DAW connect to internet . Even so if you make this mistake and your DAW connect to internet , always do an uninstall , delete all folder and reinstall and the serial will work again , but BLOCK your DAW access for any surprises .

 

I forget to mention: you also have to pull out the other folders, where Diva finds its GUI elements. I admit it's a bit more complicated than just installing the normal way.

Any proof for that besides rumours? U-he does not call home, all blacklisting happens exclusively on your machine.

Anyway, as there will be soon a fresh Diva with updated components, the hunt will go on.

 

I'll check, I found that pack with Google on another site, I'll report back later.

 

Diva , ACE , Zebra 2 and all other DoA releases works here for more then 6 months , without any problem . But I block the internet access for Reaper , Studio one and Sonar X3 now . No crashes , no black hole in vst GUI , no noise or crackle . The Diva i use is version 1.1.1 rev 903 .

 

I'll check in a virtual machine with low level network sniffer - let's see if they really call home.

 

Ok, so i tryed installing R2R 1.1.1 rev903 and it worked offline.
I installed it with internet connection OFF.

I'll try to open my DAW while being online now , so we know if it work.

 

everything seems to be working perfectly and i had no notification that U-he tryed to communicate home with Windows 8 Firewall Control.
