I have made this tutorial mainly to help the newcomers, but not only. I've thought this could be a useful tool for the AudioSEX community, in order to find here a kind of guideline, for those who are lost or somewhat afraid of making mistakes.
But also to avoid some issues, such as bad locations or double posts (starting with me!), and to gather the knowledge with some rules of common sens in the way to make as easier as possible the software news thread posting.
As all informations are at hand, no need to seek here and there either, nor feel awkward about questions that might seem stupid.

Before to create a thread
Always use the search tool on the top right to check
if a similar thread does not already exists.

First and foremost, you have to click on

below the search tool.
Then a page will open up with several empty boxes within.

The first one, is for the title. (obviously!)

As you start writing, a pop-up box appears with potential similar threads inside. It shows you if there is no matching one elsewhere on the forum.

On the title, the most important thing is to mention the brand and the release name.
And possibly what it's made to work for (e.g. Kontakt, Omnisphere, Windows, etc.).
For updates, besides names, don't forget to mention that is an update and its version.


The second one, will contain the news.

One word before to begin. Feel free to start in any order you want. You can handle texts first, afterward, set pictures, audio and video medias, vice versa or as they come.

• First step

Set a picture to introduce the software.The best way to do that, is to upload it or them on an image hosting service such as Imgur, TinyPic, Postimage or whatever you want.This, aim to prevent pictures to disappear from the thread in the long run.

- Go on the release site, then on the picture(s) you want, copy the URL(s).
- Go to the host of your choice and click on the upload button.
- Paste your(s) URL(s) and click the start upload button.
- When it's done, copy and paste your(s) picture(s) back on your thread.

• Second step

Below the introducing picture, you can place the product description or its overview.
Copy it from the page of the release site and paste it on your thread.

From there, you can set another picture if there is. If not, you can embed the video(s).

For Youtube videos, nothing complicated.
- Copy the URL of the video from the page of the release site.
- Paste it on your thread page.(there is other ways to do that. Do it as you wish).


Then, you can copy and paste all the features, specifications and requirements.

• Third step

To embed a Souncloud audio playlist
- Click the bottom of the playlist to go on the site page.
- Under the "write a comment" box there are 3 or 4 icons.
- Click on the last one which is the one to share.

- A new page appears. Choose the embed tab.
- You can choose some player options if you want

- Tick the Wordpress code checkbox. Then, select and copy the whole line.

- Come back to your thread and paste it.
- Now delete the line from the begining to the quotation mark before the https.
- And from the quotation mark before params till the end of the line.
- It should to remains an url starting by https and ending with numbers.


For single tracks, same way than playlist but stay on share tab and copy/paste URL from the box

Now, you can copy/paste requirements if you haven't done yet, trial demos and
user manual links if there are.
At last, the price and below, the product site/release link(s)

For tags: choose words relative to the realease (e.g. plugin, effects, kontakt, delay, filter, etc.)

Use the Preview function as often as necessary to have an overview of your post.
