I have to re-create that sound; however I do not know if this is a trumpet, a horn, a trombone, etc.

I asked a friend of mine that plays the trumpet and he thinks it is a baritone horn or a trombone; however I can not find any sample that resembles that sound, especially since it flares up toward the end.

Any help would be great!

I re-uploaded the sound with another site, zippyshare doesn't seem to like sounds that are very short

 

Could be a buss falling into a canyon.

 

It's a horn program from a synth. Imitation horn "stab". Sounds similar to a horn preset in my old yamaha sy-22. You can probably find something like it in a Korg, too.

 

Hard to tell. Sounds "synthetic" (to my ears). Or maybe (this is a stretch) a 'mesh' of synthetic horns stab.
