I started with True pianos and used it in many tracks - certainly has a nice sound.

Once I got Pianoteq however, I never looked back. It is absolutely fantastic.

Both are valid, but Pianoteq has a lot parameters you can tweak, and a lot of other percussive / plucked intruments like bells, harpsichord, hand drums, harps, steel drums, electric pianos, etc.
If I should choose, I would go for Pianoteq.

pianoteq .. i bought it and never regret, but you will need a good keyboard controller and good sustain, or else it wont be maximized ..

There's a difference between being courageous and just being being rude, and you can tend towards the latter. You can disagree with a post without being derogatory about the poster.

Insulting with no reason at all is being a toxic arsehole person, not a brave one.
Take a nap or something man, or insult yourself at your house mirror.
Edited: @Yuri beat me to it

That suits your behavior all right. A damaged crazy old man fighting against his own hallucinations where there's nothing to fight with in the first place. Nicely chosen

I'm so naive. You've just broadened my horizons somewhat, and my potential defenses, and given me weapons.
Thanks for letting me into the inner sanctum.
Do I now need to drink some blood or something?

Your words are of no avail to you. However veiled they may or may not be.

And you only have yourself to blame. You created me. :bleh:

I just got off from an intense forum discussion over at VI-Control about piano libraries.... I could write a 10 page report on all the minutia why I've come to this conclusion, but in short...... NEITHER!!! If doing Pop go for UVI Ravenscroft (true staccato. & Can be as dry as you like it). if doing classical VSL Synchron Steinway or Yammy C7....... I play live music for a living & even though the UVI Ravenscroft is a fraction of the size & cost of other piano libraries, it meets any modern production need & covers all the bases. I also have the option of taking the room out when playing live (UVI nailed the close, tight zero room sound). Which if you've ever heard a piano sample library played live in a venue it usually sounds bad because you're hearing a recording of a piano in a room that's also being played in another room. That being said we still have a way to go with synthesized pianos. I would love to see Audio Modeling get involved with the creators of PianoTeq & see what they could cook up.
