Yay!!! no one entered the contest. I had one friend from http://www.artfx-studios.com/forum send me something... but it was only a 30 second beat... :/
So I had to fly to LA, Cali, work 24hrs to make the track myself... so yeah sucks for me but I got it done.
I got a lot of positive feedback about the contest, I thought I would have gotten at least one legit entry.
I plan on doing more contests in future, but I need to know what will motivate you guys?
Do you guys want cash prizes? Hardware? Sample Packs (legit ones not from AZ.eu) Concert tickets? Let me know :D

I think the reason no one entered was because you wanted someone to make you a beat, you were then gonna "Edit" it slightly then claim the copyright and put your own name to it...

Not really a scam. Is like he's buying the exclusive rights of a beat. I don't see anything wrong as long as you agree with. I'm sure he don't buy anyone's song aiming especially for the royalties because i'm sure he won't get rich on that . So don't start to judge him. I sold beats including the rights in the past too and i didn't died. That guys actually opened me other doors and they even talked about me to other artists and i've got some extra opportunities.
As long as you don't sell every single song's rights, is not that bad to sell a few songs to someone else. You'll hear that particular song someday and you will know in your heart that you worked on it too. *yes*

Remix chill dafuq out! I asked for a beat, I will get copyright. And the original artist will get credit for it and royalties. Even when I buy beats from people I always give credit.

You don't understand. I didn't said to sell ALL YOUR MUSIC that way. I talked about exceptions. If you make an exception for someone (with a good cause) selling a few of your productions including their copyrights you won't die doing it. You can also call it "ghost producing". It happens often in the industry. But in this case i just want to help this guy. What you're affraid of? That you'll gonna run out of music ideas if you sell some to other producers? Maybe i'm too inspired, lol
