James Newton Howard with this diamond always catches my heart, and even after 7 years of frequent playback, it never gets old!
Bought the CD when I was 15.

And also very important role in my musical life played this album by Alan Silvestri

Contact is still my most favourite movie, bought the DVD and read the book by Carl Sagan, amazing.
Also the movie was a kick-start for my interest in radio astronomy *yes*
Usually play the whole piece once a month, in a remote location, at night, while watching stars.
Again have it for 7 years. Those two, together with Armageddon score were my first purchased CDs
